In every relationship, there are signs

Some good and some bad

Some signs aren't apparent

Until halfway through the relationship

But most can be seen early on

If you're looking

Some people aren't looking

Cuz they're scared of what they might see

Or, in the case of something good

Maybe they're mistrustful

And won't believe they're seeing

What is right in front of them

That's how they lose a good thing

To me, a bad sign

Is when he always turns off his cell phone

When you're together

Or when it rings continuously late at night

A bad sign

Is when you've been dating

For more than a few months

And you've never met any of his friends

Another bad sign

Is when you think he's laughing

At something clever you've just told him

Then you realize he's laughing at the TV

And hasn't heard a word you've said

And the worst is when he recalls fondly

A scene from a movie you both saw recently

And when you tell him it wasn't you he saw the movie with

He plays dumb and says

"Really? Then who did I see that with?

Oh yeah! It was my cousin."

And one sign that shouldn't be ignored

Is when you tell him you love him

And he says, "Thank you."

Ouch.

But enough on the bad signs

Let's talk about the good ones

A good sign is when he calls you

For the third time that day

With nothing to say

Because he just wanted to hear your voice

Again

A good sign

Is when he asks you how your day was

And then actually listens to your response

An awesome sign

Is when you're miserably sick with a cold

And he comes over with soup

And you spend the night cuddling

Amongst a sea a crumpled snot rags

And watching tv on the couch

If you're out somewhere

And he looks at you

Like you're the finest woman in the room

And you know that you're not

He may be a keeper

If your cat likes him

That's really a good sign

If your mother likes him

That's even better

But the best sign of all

Is when he goes to the store for you

And buys you tampons

Yup

If he does that for you

He is definitely the one!
